What is the difference between piezoelectric buzzer and electromagnetic buzzer

Piezoelectric buzzer uses piezoelectric materials, which generate charges when the piezoelectric material undergoes deformation due to external forces. Similarly, piezoelectric materials undergo deformation when powered on.




Electromagnetic buzzer mainly utilizes the characteristic of generating a magnetic field through an electrified conductor, and uses a fixed permanent magnet to generate magnetic force with the electrified conductor to push the eardrum fixed on the coil.




Due to the different sound principles of the two types of buzzers, the piezoelectric structure is simple and durable but has a single tone and color difference, making it suitable for devices such as alarms. Electromagnetic type, due to its good sound quality, is often used in devices such as voice and music.
